Privacy Policy
How AirChat handles nearby connectivity, direct messages, shared media, and local history.
Effective August 12, 2026
AirChat is designed for direct, nearby communication. It does not require a user account, and ForYou Apps does not operate a central server that stores your conversations.
Messages and shared media
Messages and photos you choose to share are transmitted directly between participating nearby devices using local connectivity. Conversation history is stored on-device. The recipients you select will receive the content you intentionally send.
Nearby connectivity
AirChat may request permissions required by iOS to discover and connect to nearby devices, including local network or Bluetooth-related access. These permissions are used to provide the app’s core peer-to-peer communication features.
Data collection and tracking
We do not collect account data, message content, shared photos, contacts, advertising identifiers, analytics, or location history. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.
Security and your choices
Local communication reduces cloud exposure, but no digital transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Share content only with people you trust. You can remove local history through the app or by deleting the app.
Children’s privacy
AirChat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date will be revised when that happens.
